Every street you walk on in Seattle has got adorable restaurants that you want to sneak inside and nibble. I have got three must stops the next time you’re in Seattle.
1. A huge perk about staying at the Ace Hotel is that they have super friendly staff that tell you about all the cool places to check out in the neighborhood. Bathtub Gin & Co. came highly recommended. She gave us the directions of, “You know that large engagement billboard? Well walk to the back of that parking lot to the alley. The restaurant isn’t marked with a sign it’s just a wooden door.” We were like ok, well why not! Locals always know best! We walked the alley a few times wondering where in the heck it was and then realized it was right in front of us. I think the max capacity is 30 people. We found a charming little corner in the “library”. We enjoyed a fabulous cocktail made of things I had never heard of and enjoyed the company of locals, who by the way purchased our beverages! Two hands down it’s a must stop.
2. We stumbled across The Local Vine as we were wandering through the city. They had an amazing happy hour menu which included the delicious white cheddar truffle popcorn with black lava salt. It was cozy, which you need on rainy Seattle days and had a huge wine selection. I highly recommend it.
3. Last but oh not least is Serious Pie. I have never EVER in my entire life had a better pie. My tastebuds have been dreaming about it ever since. We savored the yukon gold potato, rosemary, pecorino pie and the must try (from the Food Network) roasted mushrooms and truffle cheese pie. Oh my soul folks you have got to get to Serious Pie.
Like I said, Seattle is a foodie paradise!

We had an amazing stay at the Ace Hotel in Seattle. Really, it’s a graphic designers dream hotel (second to the Pantone Hotel). It was the perfect location and the perfect price for our budget. It was in the middle of all the great happy hour restaurants, walkable to Pikes market and the sculpture park was around the corner. To top it all off they serve a delightful breakfast before you head out to conquer the city. Book the Ace for your next Seattle adventure.

I’m excited to share some highlights from our trip to the Northwest. Seattle has a zillion amazing things to do but this is one you really shouldn’t miss. We stumbled across the very cool Olympic Sculpture Park. The park has the backdrop of incredible views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. Admission is FREE to the park which makes it a must stop on your next trip to Seattle. The park has a very impressive combination of landscape, architecture, urban design and art.

Today we’re leaving on a jet plane and heading for Seattle, Vancouver and Portland. Am I excited? Excited isn’t a strong enough word. I have been wanting to head out to these artsy, Asian infused dining, cupcake originating, wine filled cities for years. Finally my long wait is over! I started the vacation a little early and broke out an amazing bottle of Pinot Noir from a good friend in Portland (fitting huh?), lit the candles on my porch (where I always feel like I’m vacation) and continued my recent addiction of reading “Little Bee.”
Here’s some of the spots we’ll be hitting up:
Can’t wait to share more with you when I return!
Ciao for now!
