Welcome to St. Cecilia

18.03.2010

Lets just drool over this gem of a location in the heart of Grand Rapids. I had never been in St. Cecilia until it was recommended to me by Aletha for the show. Believe it or not they were my first and last phone call. I called Carla up and explained my idea of the show and she was on board just like that. I hung up the phone and thought to myself huh, guess it’s official, I’m planning a bridal show! St. Cecilia was amazing to work with. Carla was super helpful, flexible and open for anything we threw at her. I highly recommend St. Cecilia for any event. The place has so much charm and character. The arches, mirrors and stain glass details radiate warmth and hospitality. It’s beautiful from the outside in. It was the perfect setting for GRunveiled.

Paper Nest Designs at GRunveiled

17.03.2010

I’m excited to show you my space at GRunveiled! The wonderfully talented Nicole of Nicole Haley Photography was so gracious to come and take photos for us of the evening. She did an amazing job and really captured the evening perfectly.

In the midst of planning the show I had to come up with my own space. As we all know it’s hard to design for yourself and then add the busyness of planning the show. Crazy! In the end it came together and I couldn’t have been more happy with it. It was a group effort of friends and family.  My dad made the tables for me, we cut down a branch from our yard, a creative friend inspired me to create a paper nest, the spring bouquet was a gift from a dear friend and my invitations made up the rest! Viola! It was pretty awesome in the end to have pieces of my space be made or given by people who encourage me every day to live out my creative dreams.

Dreams Come True

12.03.2010

GRunveiled

GRunveiled was a huge success yesterday! Despite all the rain we still welcomed over 230 people to the event! I think the vendors had just as much fun as the attendees. It felt like a big ol’ party with a bunch of friends all in a beautiful building. Doesn’t get better than that!  All the vendors pulled through with amazingly creative spaces. I am so proud of all of them! So many guests commented how friendly everyone was and how they were all so passionate about what they were doing. My dream show came true!

A big shout out to Aletha from Pearls Events and Jennifer from J. Studio for coming on board with me and my crazy ideas! Also to all the friends and family who have been so encouraging and supportive. Most of all to my amazing husband who has been doing all the big and little things to keep me sane every day while I’m flying around and encouraging me every step of the way.  This show wouldn’t have gone on without all of you!

I experienced a dream come true last night! I’m still reveling in it…

This is a sneak peek of the event. I’ll have plenty more photos to share from the fabulous Nicole Haley Photography who was so gracious to snap photos for us throughout the evening.

GRunveiled Hits the Big Screen

11.03.2010

GRunveiled hit the WZZM news this morning! I couldn’t be more happy with the story. WZZM did a great job and like Aletha said, “They have mad editing skills.” ha! It was a lot of fun doing the interview with them, that is once my nerves went away. This show has been so much fun and I’ve learned a ton along the way.

I hope to see you all out tonight at St. Cecilia. The show runs from 6pm to 10pm. We’ve extended our online ticket sales to 3pm today. You can also purchase tickets at the door.

This ain’t your mama’s wedding show so you won’t want to miss it!
