I had the pleasure of designing this logo for DJ Alex. I’m stoked to have DJ Alex do some live mixing at GRunveiled this Thursday. Come out to the show and be sure to stop by and say hi to him. Grab one of his cool biz cards because you never know when you’re going to throw that next party and need some serious tuneage. DJ Alex would be the guy you’d want to bump your party up a few notches.

I had the honor of designing these banners for Madison Square Church. I am a worshiping member at Madison so to represent Madison’s mission of,

“We are a diverse people created by God the Father, called by Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to: reach up, reach out, reach across and reach in.”

graphically and artfully through banners was an exciting challenge to take on. I am more then happy with how they have turned out. They add a big splash of color to the sanctuary, which if you know anything about me, I love color. They are an expression of worship to me. My hope is that they visually enhance worship of our creative and artistic God for others at Madison.

I’m ecstatic about this new piece of art that we have added to our home. I have been drooling over this table for years. Mr. Noguchi’s beautiful piece of sculpture is happy in it’s new home.

Anthropologie’s latest catalog was passed onto me from my very fashionable friend Elicia. She’s always passing me amazing eye candy. Their catalog always blows my mind and this issue was no different. This jewelry design and layout is stunning and uber inspiring.

I never would have guessed that we would have 35 amazing local businesses on board supporting GRunveiled! Aletha and I are so jazzed! It’s so fun to see the talent that we have right here in Grand Rapids! Another reason I heart GR.

I’m super excited to meet and show all of our vendors some love at our vendor meet and greet tomorrow evening. Can’t think of a better way to spend an evening then meeting other creative, small business owners.

I love our valentines tradition of making chocolate chip heart shaped cookies a la mode. We sit and eat them till we feel sick. It’s the day I go all out and nothing holds back my temptation to go for seconds or even thirds. I love it.

I received these adorable little hearts in the mail from my amazing mom. I think they’re so adorable and they totally made my week knowing that she made them and mailed them out to me. I love surprises in the mail!

Sit back today, eat some sweets and call up someone to tell them you’re thinking of them and that you love them.

My husband surprised me this past Christmas with this treasure of a book filled with Charley Harper’s illustrations. It has brought me so much joy and inspiration this winter. What Charley can do with a few lines on a piece of paper is beyond amazement. He inspires me to look at God’s creation from a different angle and with renewed awe.
